Since retiring from the Postal Service, William Aiello, known as Bill to his friends, has devoted himself to creative pursuits as an actor, ventriloquist, writer and pageant director. He has appeared in small film roles. The two most recent were as an angry bank customer in “Zero Day” (2024) and an airline passenger in “Lazarus” (2025).
He regularly performs at open mikes at venues in Queens and Long Island. Bill does poetry recitals, original comedy and drama acts, and his favorite is ventriloquism. His two puppets are Berkie and Bobby, two brothers, who humorously insult and ridicule him in every act. Bill has had three books published, numerous poems and short stories.
